Yes all volunteer coaches do need to complete the background check by registering for the Volunteer to Coach program each season. If you are coaching Spring and Fall you would complete both the Volunteer to Coach Spring Program and the Volunteer to Coach Fall program.
Main reasons behind why we require this:
- Ensures we have a current National Background Check completed
- Allows us to collect information on your team preferences or kids you want on the team
- Tells us what location or league you are wanting to coach in for the upcoming season
- Ensures we get you on our Coaches email distro for the league you are coaching
